Privacy & Data Policy

Our approach

SpriteDex is designed to collect as little information as possible. You can use the site and track your Sprite collection without creating an account or providing personal details.

Collection data stored in your browser

Your collection choices, levels, mastery status, filter preferences, and redeemed Override Code checklist are stored locally in your browser. This information remains on your device unless you choose to transfer it.

Clearing browser site data, using private browsing, changing browser profiles, or using a new device may remove or separate that local collection data.

Index Transfer codes

When you create an Index Transfer code, SpriteDex temporarily stores an encrypted transfer payload on our hosting infrastructure so it can be loaded on another device. The code itself is a short identifier, not an account.

  • Transfer data expires automatically after 24 hours.
  • Transfer data is deleted immediately after a successful one-time load or when you reset the code.
  • Do not share an active code with people you do not trust, as anyone with it can load that transfer payload before it expires.

Technical and aggregate information

Our host may process limited technical information required to operate and secure the service, such as request logs, error logs, and abuse-prevention data. SpriteDex may also maintain privacy-conscious aggregate counters, such as page refresh totals and approximate returning-device totals. These counters are not displayed as a named visitor profile and are not used to identify you personally.

Third-party services and links

SpriteDex may link to third-party services such as Discord, Epic Games, Fortnite community pages, or social platforms. Those services operate under their own privacy policies. We do not control their data practices.

Security and changes

We use reasonable measures to protect the temporary transfer service, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. This policy may be updated as SpriteDex changes. The latest version is always published here.
